GMX-719 Anti-Slip Coating: Water-Based Varnish with Heat-Activated Textured Finish
GMX-719 anti-slip coating is a water-based formulation that creates a micro-textured surface designed to raise the coefficient of friction of the printed sheet. Unlike other anti-slip products, its effect is thermally activated in the 140-150 °C range, which means the material can be printed and handled normally and the anti-slip texture develops at the point of processing. It is formulated for kraft and semi-chemical papers, the usual substrates in sacks, packaging and industrial board.
Operational Benefits on Press
- Activatable anti-slip effect: the texture develops on activation at 140-150 °C, not during printing, avoiding interference in earlier stages.
- Pallet stability: higher friction between units reduces slippage of sacks and cases in stacking and transport.
- Formulated for kraft and semi-chemical: matched to the absorption of these papers, where coating anchorage is critical.
- Water-based: solvent-free, compatible with industrial packaging emission requirements.
